Mini Max, Basic Canadian legal ultralight aircraft, by TEAM Aircraft, Ultalight Aircraft Canada.

Mini Max Ultralight.

Ultralight Aircraft Magazine - Mini Max - The Team Mini Max is a part 103 legal ultralight aircraft. It is a mid wing, strut braced, tractor configuration, taildragger. Controls are standard three axis, with a sender mounted stick and left hand throttle.

It was first introduced to the ultralight market in 1984. He Mini Max can be built from plans, or from kit form. The Mini Max is constructed from wood using wood truss and plywood gussets, covered in standard aircraft material. Building times are reported to be between 150 and 300 hours. No special tools are required and the aircraft can be built in the space of a single car garage.

To comply with the ultralight aircraft weight limit in the United States it is necessary to use a light weight single cylinder, two stroke engine such as the Rotax 277, or Hirth F 30. Properly cared for, the Max-103 will give you decades of flying enjoyment. And you'll have the deep sense of pride knowing you built this fine aircraft yourself. The low kit price includes a curved turtledeck, engine cowl and prop spinner for sporty good looks.

Mini Max Ultralight

It's designed for great performance powered by a single-cylinder engine in the 28-30 HP range. Please do not attempt to install a larger, more powerful engine. This will exert excess stress on the airframe and put it over the Part-103 weight limit. If you really want a lot of power we have many great E-AB designs: the 1500 or 1600 Sport, Eros, V-Max or AeroMax. But if you want to build and fly the best ultralight on the market, the Max-103 is the plane for you!
